One sunny Tuesday, I looked out my bedroom window and saw a very strange cloud. It wasn't white, and it wasn't grey. It was bright pink! It looked exactly like a giant scoop of strawberry ice cream floating across the blue sky.
I grabbed my secret spy binoculars and zoomed in close. A tiny, fluffy cloud tail was wagging at the back. It was a cloud puppy! I named him Barnaby. Barnaby accidentally flew too low and got his tail stuck on the topmost branch of our big oak tree. He started crying little drops of pink rain.
I ran outside into the backyard and held out my tongue to catch a raindrop. Guess what? It tasted just like sweet strawberry juice! I knew I had to rescue him before the sun melted him away. I put on my shiny red superhero cape and climbed up the tree trunk as fast as an explorer monkey.
When I reached the top branch, I tickled Barnaby's fluffy pink belly. He giggled so hard that a big puff of strawberry wind blew out of his nose, and *POP!* he became unstuck. He zipped around my head in three fast loops, leaving a trail of pink sparkles behind him.
Barnaby barked a soft cloud bark that sounded like a squeaky toy, then flew back up high into the sky to play with his friends. Now, every time it rains, I always stick my tongue out just in case the clouds are made of candy again!
