Once upon a time, there was a princess named Lily. She lived in a big, shiny palace with tall towers and a beautiful garden full of roses. But even though she had everything she wanted, she loved going on little adventures.
One sunny day, Princess Lily went walking near the woods behind the palace. She followed a butterfly deeper and deeper into the trees. The butterfly was so pretty, with blue and purple wings, that she didn’t notice how far she had gone.
Soon, the trees got thicker and the sunlight got dim. Lily looked around and realized something scary.
“I think I’m lost,” she said softly.
She tried to go back the way she came, but every path looked the same. The wind rustled the leaves, and she heard strange noises. Lily felt a little afraid, but she remembered what her mother always told her: “Be brave and think carefully.”
So Lily took a deep breath.
“I won’t cry,” she said. “I will find my way back.”
As she walked, she met a small squirrel sitting on a rock.
“Excuse me,” Lily asked politely, “do you know the way out of the woods?”
The squirrel twitched its nose and pointed its tiny paw to the left. Lily smiled. “Thank you!”
She kept walking and soon found a little stream. The water was flowing gently.
“My teacher said water often leads somewhere,” she remembered.
So Lily followed the stream. Along the way, she saw birds, rabbits, and even a deer who looked at her kindly. After a while, the trees started to thin out, and the sunlight grew brighter.
Then suddenly—there it was!
The tall towers of her palace!
“I made it!” Lily cheered, running toward home.
The guards saw her and quickly opened the gates. Her parents rushed out and hugged her tightly.
“We were so worried!” they said.
“I got lost,” Lily explained, “but I stayed brave and found my way back.”
That night, everyone in the palace celebrated Princess Lily’s safe return. And from that day on, Lily still went on adventures—but she always made sure to remember the path home.
And she never forgot how brave she was.
The End.
