A fiercely vain queen consults her magical mirror every day, demanding to know who is the fairest in the land. For years, the mirror praises her beauty, until her young stepdaughter, Snow White, grows up. When the mirror truthfully declares the young princess to be the most beautiful, the queen flies into a murderous rage. She orders a huntsman to take Snow White deep into the forest and eliminate her. The huntsman takes pity on the innocent girl and lets her escape into the terrifying, darkening woods. Lost and exhausted, Snow White discovers a tiny, empty cottage and falls asleep. She soon meets its owners: seven hardworking dwarfs who mine for gold and gems in the nearby mountains. They take her in, offering protection in exchange for her help keeping their home tidy. But the magic mirror eventually reveals her location. The wicked queen uses dark magic, poisonous tricks, and cunning disguises to finish the job herself, forcing Snow White to fight for her survival.
