Jack, Quint, June, and Dirk are about to face a completely different kind of apocalyptic disaster. During a scavenging run to their local comic book store, the kids make a startling and horrifying discovery. They have officially read every single issue of their favorite superhero comic, Z-Man. Thanks to the monster apocalypse, no new issues are ever going to be published again. Devastated but determined, our heroes decide there is only one logical solution. They must continue the great Z-Man legacy by writing and illustrating their very own comic book. Their plan is simple: they will knock off their beloved hero and cast themselves as the super rad, super goofy protectors of the mysterious city of Apocalyptia. But creating a comic book masterpiece is much harder than it looks. As they argue over storylines, costumes, and superpowers, hilarious chaos ensues. What starts as a fun creative project quickly spirals into a wildly entertaining mess as they try to bring their superhero fantasies to life.

Just when things look grim, a bizarre group of incredibly fluffy, delightfully cute, mascot-shaped heroes drops out of the sky to save the day. The entire apocalyptic wasteland is rapidly being transformed into a permanently adorable, pastel-colored paradise. Now, it is entirely up to Jack and his friends to get to the bottom of this bizarre magical threat before their cool monster-filled world is cutified forever!
