Twelve-year-old Peter Hatcher feels like his life is constantly spinning out of control, and it is almost always because of his little brother. Farley Drexel Hatcher, better known to the world as Fudge, is older now, but he is still a massive pain. If managing a chaotic younger brother was not difficult enough, Peter's parents just dropped a double bombshell. First, his mother is having a brand new baby. Second, the entire family is moving away to Princeton, New Jersey, for a whole year. Now, Peter has to start the sixth grade in a completely unfamiliar town, make new friends from scratch, and attend the exact same school as Fudge. His biggest fear, however, is the new arrival. How is Peter supposed to survive middle school if this new baby turns out to be another human hurricane just like his younger brother?
