Jane Eyre grows up as an orphan under the cruel care of her aunt, Mrs. Reed, at Gateshead. She suffers mistreatment from her cousins and is eventually sent to Lowood School, a harsh institution for girls. Despite the hardships, she forms a close friendship with Helen Burns and finds guidance under Miss Temple. Over time, she excels academically and later becomes a teacher at Lowood. Yearning for independence, Jane applies for a governess position and is hired at Thornfield Hall. Upon arrival, she finds herself drawn to the mysterious and imposing Mr. Rochester. As she settles into her new role, she starts experiencing strange and unsettling occurrences in the house. Jane's quiet life is disrupted by the growing tension between her and Rochester, setting the stage for deeper emotional conflicts.
