Challenge Prize and Reward Template
Optional prize and recognition language for reading challenges, without making rewards bigger than the reading.
Updated May 28, 2026
Low-pressure recognition
Readers who complete the challenge will be recognized by [class/library/branch]. The goal is to try books, share recommendations, and build a stronger reading habit.
Prize pickup note
If this challenge includes a prize, bring your library card, program note, or staff confirmation to [location] by [date]. Prizes are available while supplies last.
Classroom celebration
We will celebrate completed reviews, thoughtful recommendations, and effort. Students do not need to finish first to have their reading count.
Helpful prize boundaries
- Make reading, recommending, and trying books the center of the challenge.
- Use prize language only when staff can actually fulfill it.
- Avoid asking readers to share private information publicly to claim a reward.
