Teacher
“We are going to use KRKB as our reading space for this class. You will use it to find books, write reviews, answer quizzes, and sometimes respond to a story or discussion prompt. The goal is not to rush. The goal is to help another reader understand what a book is like and to show me what you are thinking as a reader.”
- 1 Pass out QR/login cards.
- 2 Have students sign in and check the class name.
- 3 Show the first activity.
- 4 Model one safe, useful review sentence.
- 5 Give students 8 to 12 minutes to start.
School librarian
“KRKB is going to help our library turn student reading into recommendations other students can actually use. Today we will sign in, explore a shelf, and start one short review or challenge activity. Your words may help the next reader find a book they would not have picked on their own.”
- 1 Open the curated shelf or Reading Program.
- 2 Point out the display or book list.
- 3 Show how to search for a book.
- 4 Name the review crew or challenge goal.
- 5 Remind students not to share private information.
Public librarian
“This program is a way to keep track of what you try, recommend books to other young readers, and join our library challenge. You can use the QR code or program link to join. If you are here with family, keep the handout so you can find the program again at home.”
- 1 Point to the branch QR poster.
- 2 Explain the program name and dates.
- 3 Show one sample activity.
- 4 Mention prize or pickup notes only if they apply.
- 5 Invite families to keep the handout.
