Arthur Conan Doyle

Sir Arthur Conan Doyle was a Scottish writer and physician who created one of the most famous literary characters of all time, Sherlock Holmes. Born in Edinburgh in 1859, he introduced the brilliant detective and his loyal companion, Dr. John Watson, in the 1887 novel A Study in Scarlet.
