KRKB

A Reading Program You Can Actually Run

Whether you are running a class, a school library, or a public library program, KRKB helps kids read, respond, and talk about books without starting from a blank page.

Start simple, then keep the spark going

KRKB Setup gives you a first-day path: choose a teacher or librarian view, create a class or Reading Program, add readers, print QR access, and share family instructions.

Once readers are in, shelves, challenges, review queues, parent take-home letters, and reports stay tied to the class or program you are working on.

Setup Checklist

Next steps stay organized by class, group, or program.

Reader access

QR codes, join links, and login cards make launch day calmer.

Works for classrooms and library programs

Use rostered classes for assignments and login cards. Use Reading Programs for library events, seasonal campaigns, book clubs, and public share links.

What KRKB Adds to Reading Time

Roster and QR access

Sync your class from Clever, or add readers by CSV or manual entry, then print badges or take-home letters with the exact class or program access they need.

Curated shelves

Build book lists for a display, unit, genre, Battle of the Books list, or staff recommendation shelf, then attach them where readers will find them.

Reading Programs

Run library initiatives, review crews, class reading programs, and public-library events with join links, participant lists, share pages, and family handouts.

Moderation tools

Review reader-created work, see safety flags in one place, and keep feedback connected to reviews, stories, quizzes, and class activity.

Challenges and campaigns

Turn a month, season, genre, or school-wide push into a visible reading challenge with activity tasks and shareable progress.

Impact reports

Show what readers did: reviews, stories, quizzes, participation, family access, and the books that caught on.

Familiar school login

Students sign in with the Clever account they already use every day. No new passwords to teach or reset.

Teacher-authorized only

You choose which classes are shared. Clever sends first name, last initial, and grade — never student emails.

KRKB supports Clever

KRKB supports Clever Library for teacher-managed SSO and classroom rostering. Connect your Clever account, pick a class, and KRKB creates school-managed reader profiles from the rostered list — no student self-registration, ever.

Roster changes flow through on re-sync, QR badges keep working for offline days, and the same classroom keeps its shelves, assignments, and reports. Privacy details for your district are in the School and Library Privacy Summary.

A practical first-week path

1

Choose the right path

Use a classroom or managed group for rostered assignments. Use a Reading Program when readers join through a public code or link.

2

Give readers and families clear access

Print QR badges, share join links, and send parent or family instructions so getting in does not become a mystery.

3

Make reading visible

Attach shelves, run a challenge, review submitted work, and use reports to show what happened after launch day.
