The waves slapping against the stone. The steep climb up the winding staircase. The thrill of lighting the great lamp every single night. Ronnie is having the time of his life tending the lighthouse at Tern Rock with his aunt. It was only supposed to be a short two-week stay to let the regular keeper take a vacation, and Ronnie cannot wait to go home and tell his family all about his incredible island adventures.
But December is slipping away, and the keeper has not come back. As the days pass and the winter weather grows colder, Ronnie starts to realize they might be stranded. The thought of spending the holidays far away from his family is hard to swallow.
Trapped on the rocky outpost surrounded by the sea, Ronnie and his aunt must figure out how to make the best of a very unexpected situation. They might just discover that a lonely lighthouse can still hold the true spirit of the season.
