An aging donkey, no longer strong enough to carry heavy sacks of flour, realizes his cruel master plans to get rid of him. Rather than wait for his doom, the clever donkey runs away, deciding to travel to the lively city of Bremen to become a street musician. Along the dusty road, he meets three other abandoned animals facing a similarly grim fate: a worn-out hunting dog, a toothless cat, and a rooster destined for the soup pot. The four outcasts band together, forming an unusual musical troupe determined to start a new life. Before they can reach Bremen, night falls, and they stumble upon a cozy cottage hidden in the woods. Unfortunately, the house is already occupied by a dangerous gang of thieves enjoying a massive feast. Using their combined wits and their very loud, unmusical voices, the brave animals must launch a hilarious and terrifying midnight raid to scare the robbers away and claim the comfortable house for themselves.
