The pond belongs to Duck, at least for now. While Goose is away on a relaxing vacation, Duck is left in charge of keeping their watery home the happiest place in the world. He takes his new job very seriously. Perhaps a little too seriously. Soon, new rules begin popping up around the water's edge. No splashing. No fishing. Absolutely no racing. Duck rushes around posting signs and barking orders, determined to keep everything perfectly controlled. But as the list of forbidden activities grows longer, his friends realize the pond is no longer a fun place to play. One by one, they start to leave. Now Duck sits alone in his perfectly orderly, perfectly quiet pond. He must figure out how to undo his bossy mistakes and win his friends back before Goose returns. A funny, relatable story about sharing space and learning that being in charge does not mean ruining all the fun.
