The Menashe family is incredibly excited for their favorite Hanukkah tradition: making a delicious feast of latkes and applesauce. But a sudden, furious blizzard sweeps in, burying all their potatoes and apples deep beneath the heavy snow.
Just as the storm threatens to ruin the holiday, a stray dog and a shivering cat appear at their door.
