Ali usually knows exactly how to stay out of trouble in his Brooklyn neighborhood. He spends his time focusing on school, practicing his boxing, and looking out for his family. But his best friend, Noodles, has a habit of finding trouble wherever he goes, and Ali is always the one stepping in to fix things. Then there is Needles, the older brother of Noodles, who lives with a syndrome that causes him to blurt out unexpected things. Everyone on their street knows and accepts Needles, but the world outside their block is not always as understanding. When the three boys find themselves in a place they definitely should not be, a simple mistake spirals into a dangerous situation. Now, Ali has to figure out what it truly means to be a loyal friend and a good brother. You will navigate the complexities of growing up, making tough choices, and learning that sometimes doing the right thing is the hardest fight of all.
