Brock is a brilliant, stubborn parrot who has finally escaped the boring pet store. Unfortunately, his new human owner is completely insufferable. For starters, the guy keeps asking for his name, even though Brock clearly says his own name every time. Who wants to be named Poly, anyway? Their relationship gets off to a very rocky start, filled with hilarious misunderstandings and clashing personalities. But as the days go by, this grumpy bird and his new owner might just learn to appreciate each other. Written in a funny diary format, this entertaining story explores the ups and downs of pet ownership from the animal's perspective. It is a wonderful, humorous read about building an unlikely friendship and discovering that the best companions are sometimes the most unexpected ones.
