A poor woodcutter and his wife desperately wish for a child, even one no bigger than a thumb. To their absolute amazement, their wish comes true. They name their tiny, brave son Tom Thumb. What Tom lacks in physical size, he makes up for with extraordinary cleverness and a sharp mind. He quickly proves he can help his family in ways they never expected, sitting in the ear of a horse to guide it and outsmarting men who try to buy him for a traveling sideshow. But being so small comes with immense dangers. A simple walk across the countryside turns into a massive, perilous journey. Tom finds himself tangled in the webs of thieves, trapped inside a mouse hole, and eventually swallowed whole by a wandering cow, and later a hungry wolf. He must use all his wits and loud voice to survive these terrifying traps and find his way back to his loving parents.
