Yoko is very excited for lunchtime at school. Her mother has packed her absolute favorite meal, which is delicious sushi. But when she opens her lunchbox, her classmates do not think it looks yummy at all. They tease her and call her food yucky because it has seaweed. Yoko feels incredibly sad and lonely as she goes through the rest of her day. Her caring teacher Mrs. Jenkins sees the problem and decides to host an International Food Day to bring the class together. You will cheer for Yoko as she navigates this tough situation and finds a brave friend willing to try something new. It is a wonderful story about accepting others and celebrating our differences.
