Moving to a new town is rarely easy, and Tanner Ryan is convinced that Woodville is the most boring place on earth. Missing his old friends and his familiar city life, Tanner feels completely out of place. The only small comfort he has is swimming in his family's pool, but it is not enough to cure his loneliness. Everything shifts the moment he discovers the Curves, an absolutely incredible local skate park that feels like a hidden paradise. Just as Tanner begins to feel hopeful about his new home, a massive roadblock appears in the form of Bennett Parsons the Third. Bennett is the resident bully, and he makes it clear that newcomers are not welcome at the park. To make matters even worse, the rest of the local residents strongly dislike skateboarders roaming their streets, leaving Tanner with very few safe places to ride. Balancing his love for skateboarding with the hostile environment of Woodville becomes Tanner's greatest challenge. He desperately wants to make genuine friends who share his passion, but the constant pressure from bullies and grumpy neighbors makes it incredibly difficult. Tanner must figure out how to stand up for himself, claim his space at the Curves, and prove that he belongs on his board.
