Bright yellow Gossie and her best friend Gertie do absolutely everything together. They splash in rain puddles, play hide-and-seek in the daisies, and march through the farmyard side by side. Gossie loves to lead the way in her bright red boots, and Gertie happily follows close behind. But one day, Gertie decides she wants to try doing things her own way. When Gossie turns right, Gertie turns left. When Gossie sits, Gertie stands. You might think this would cause a big problem for the two friends, but they soon discover something wonderful. Sometimes following your own path is just as fun as following the leader, and best friends can still be best friends even when they do things differently.
