Mr. Hoppy lives a very quiet life in his tall apartment building, tending to the beautiful plants on his balcony. He also has a wonderful secret. He is completely in love with his downstairs neighbor, the kind and lovely Mrs. Silver. Unfortunately, Mr. Hoppy is far too shy to ever tell her how he feels. Mrs. Silver only has eyes for one thing anyway, and that is her beloved pet tortoise, Alfie. She desperately wishes Alfie would grow into a larger, more impressive tortoise, but he remains stubbornly small. Seeing a chance to finally win her heart, Mr. Hoppy devises a brilliantly clever and slightly ridiculous plan. Armed with a magical sounding spell and over a hundred tortoises of varying sizes, the shy neighbor sets his grand scheme in motion. The results are incredibly funny and wonderfully heartwarming as Mr. Hoppy proves that sometimes, the way to true love is through a tortoise.
