The snow is deep, the freezing wind is howling, and the cold season seems like it will never end. When his small village suffers through an incredibly harsh and bitter winter, young Simon decides he has had enough. Even though his mother laughs and calls him foolish, Simon sets out on a brave quest to find Spring and bring it back to his home. Guided only by a tiny, mysterious winter wren, Simon journeys far beyond the safety of his village into the freezing wilderness. Along the way, he encounters a strange old man who represents Winter itself, asleep but still powerful. Through courage, cleverness, and a touch of seasonal magic, this determined young boy must find a way to awaken the warm sunshine and melt the icy grip on his world.
