Buford is a scrawny mountain sheep with a very big problem. His horns have grown completely out of control, curving out behind him and wrapping back around his feet. Unable to safely climb the steep, rocky ridges with the rest of his flock, the clumsy sheep is forced to leave his home and seek shelter with a herd of cattle in the valley. When hunters suddenly arrive, Buford must flee for his life. In the middle of a desperate escape across a snowy mountain, he discovers that his oversized, awkward horns might actually make him a star.
