Having to make a massive decision all by yourself is incredibly stressful. Amber Brown thought her Thanksgiving plans were completely set. Her mom's boyfriend Max invited them to Washington state for the holiday, and her dad just announced he is moving back from Paris to live closer to her. Life was feeling pretty perfect until her dad called with a huge request. He wants Amber to spend Thanksgiving with him in New York City instead. Now, the adults are leaving the final choice entirely up to her, and Amber feels caught right in the middle of a bad dream. To make things even worse, a new girl named Kelly Green just started at her school, challenging Amber for the coolest color name in the classroom.
