A sunny day at Goo Lagoon turns into a major panic when SpongeBob enthusiastically agrees to go surfing with Sandy, completely forgetting that he has absolutely no idea how to ride a board! Desperate to avoid looking foolish in front of his friend, SpongeBob turns to Patrick for some emergency surfing lessons right in his own backyard.
But balancing on dry land is very different from facing the crashing waters of the ocean. When the big day arrives, SpongeBob tries everything he can think of to get out of hitting the beach, even attempting to snap his beloved surfboard in half.
