Smoke fills the night as Daniel and his mother watch unrest break out in their neighborhood. From their apartment window, Daniel sees people running, shouting, and taking things from stores. Then danger reaches their own building, and they must leave for a shelter. In the middle of fear and confusion, Daniel also notices something smaller but important: his cat and a neighbor’s cat, animals that usually do not get along, are suddenly part of the same frightened night.
