Venice is sinking, and only two seasoned time travelers can stop the rising waters. Jack and Annie arrive in Italy over two hundred and fifty years ago during the lively annual Carnival celebration. Their mission is to save the beautiful city and its ruler from a terrible flood, but Merlin the magician has given them instructions that are incredibly confusing.

Jack and Annie must rely on a mysterious rhyme, a new research book, and their own bravery to escape the dungeon and save the Grand Lady of the Lagoon from total disaster.
