Josephine is not your average kangaroo. While her brother Joey constantly reminds her that kangaroos are supposed to hop, Josephine only wants to point her toes, leap gracefully through the air, and dance! She practices by bouncing with the brolgas and swaying with the trees, dreaming of wearing a beautiful pink tutu and silk ballet shoes. When a real ballet troupe arrives in her sleepy town, Josephine sneaks in to watch them pirouette and curtsy. But disaster strikes when the prima ballerina twists her ankle right before the big performance. The director desperately needs a dancer who can jump higher than anyone else. You will cheer for Josephine as she proves that if you believe in yourself, a kangaroo really can be a star.
