A cheerful young girl named Little Red Cap sets out through the deep woods to deliver a basket of fresh cakes and wine to her sick grandmother. Her mother warns her to stay strictly on the main path and avoid wandering into the shadowy trees. But the forest is full of beautiful, distracting wildflowers and dangerous secrets. A smooth-talking, hungry wolf spots the young girl and devises a wicked plan to eat both her and the old woman. He convinces Red Cap to wander off the trail to pick a colorful bouquet, buying himself enough time to race ahead to the grandmother's isolated cottage. By the time Red Cap finally arrives at the house, the wolf is already waiting for her, disguised in a nightgown and sleeping cap. She quickly notices her grandmother's unusually large ears, strange eyes, and massive, terrifying teeth. It will take the sudden arrival of a brave huntsman to stop the beast and save them from the wolf's dark belly.
