Twelve-year-old Brent Mullen lives and breathes ice hockey. He loves the speed, the strategy, and playing a fair, hard-fought game. But when a new assistant coach joins the team, the atmosphere in the rink suddenly changes. The new coach is absolutely obsessed with winning, and he does not care how they do it. Brent is shocked to discover that the coach is secretly pulling the defensemen aside and teaching them dangerous, illegal moves to take out the opposing players. Now, Brent is caught in a terrible moral dilemma. If he speaks up and exposes the cheating, he risks angering the coach, alienating his teammates, and possibly getting kicked off the squad. But if he stays silent, someone could get seriously hurt on the ice. As the games get rougher and the pressure mounts, Brent must decide what kind of player and person he truly wants to be. Will he have the courage to blow the whistle on dirty play?
