The Christmas season is here, and the girls of the Mother-Daughter Book Club are packing their bags for holiday vacations. Becca, Megan, Emma, Cassidy, and Jess are bringing along the Betsy-Tacy series to read before their big New Year's Eve meeting. However, almost nothing goes according to plan. Megan and Becca find themselves stuck on a family cruise, arguing over the ship captain's charming son. Cassidy travels to California, where a wave of homesickness makes her family question where they truly belong. Meanwhile, a disastrous sledding accident completely wrecks the winter plans for Emma and Jess.
