An exciting new project is coming to school, and third grader Marya Khan is ready to take charge! Her class has been chosen to create a beautiful community garden, and Marya is thrilled because her own mother is coming in to teach everyone about planting. Best of all, one lucky student will be picked as the official class leader for the garden. Marya wants the top job more than anything, but so does her biggest rival, Alexa! Determined to prove she is the best person for the role, Marya launches a master plan to show off her leadership skills. Unfortunately, absolutely nothing goes right. Flocks of hungry birds keep eating the tiny plants, and none of her classmates will listen to her instructions. With the garden falling apart, Marya must figure out how to stop bossing people around and start working as a team to save their fabulous jasmine garden.
