Scamp is a regular farm dog who is completely tired of his ordinary, boring life. Wishing to be famous and admired like a champion racehorse, he ventures into the woods and strikes a deal with Zildy, a kooky little witch. Zildy grants his wish for a spectacular change, but her magic transforms him into a Whingdingdilly—a bizarre, mixed-up creature with parts from a camel, a zebra, a giraffe, an elephant, and a rhinoceros. Scamp quickly learns that being a strange and famous attraction is far worse than living a quiet, happy life as a simple farm dog.
