Kermit is a grumpy, selfish old crab who acts like a true hermit, hoarding bits of junk in his dark cave off the coast of Monterey Bay. He absolutely despises sharing and snaps at anyone who comes too close. His miserable, lonely life changes forever when a young boy spots him trapped by a dog and kindly rescues him from danger. Shocked by this unexpected act of compassion, the bad-tempered crab has a change of heart. Determined to repay the boy's kindness, Kermit embarks on an adventurous search through the ocean to find the perfect treasure.
