A father is waiting desperately for water to baptize his weak, newborn daughter. He sends his seven rowdy sons to the well with a jug. But the boys drop the jug into the water and are too terrified to go back. Furious at their delay, the father shouts a terrible curse, wishing his sons would all turn into ravens.
