Mr. Potter has always lived a very quiet, predictable, and remarkably boring life. Now that he is finally living entirely on his own, he decides it is the perfect time to buy the pet he has always dreamed of. But instead of picking out a normal, quiet dog or a cuddly cat, he ends up with Everest, an incredibly grumpy mynah bird who knows exactly how to talk back. Before long, Everest is calling the shots, and the two of them turn their bachelor pad into a total disaster area.
