Strange and spooky noises are echoing from the dark dungeon beneath the Dragon Slayers' Academy. Wiglaf and his stalwart cohorts, Angus and Erica, bravely decide to investigate the terrifying sounds. In the process, they accidentally free the long-imprisoned ghost of the school's original founder, Sir Herbert Dungeonstone.
Overjoyed to finally be on the loose again, the vengeful ghost immediately begins wreaking havoc in the halls. Sir Herbert is desperately searching for his stolen gold and is furious at how his once-proud school is currently being run.
Meanwhile, Headmaster Mordred is completely distracted trying to impress a wealthy new student, unaware of the chaos unfolding below. Wiglaf and his friends must figure out how to calm the angry spirit and return him to his rest before Sir Herbert completely destroys the academy.
