Larky Mavis has always been considered a little bit odd by the people in her town, but her life changes forever the day she finds three mysterious peanuts lying in the middle of the road. While the first two taste very strange, the third peanut reveals an incredible surprise: a tiny, perfect baby hidden right inside the shell! Mavis joyfully names the little one Heart's Delight and promises to take good care of it. When she proudly shows off the baby, the local teacher thinks it is a worm, and the doctor calls it a deformed bird. But as Heart's Delight grows bigger, something amazing happens—it sprouts beautiful wings!
