Third-grade inventor Ada Lace is building a brand-new robot and is completely determined to beat her rival Milton in the upcoming robotics competition. However, a major distraction is standing in her way. Ada is finding her dad's art class to be nearly impossible, while her best friend Nina is shining as the star pupil. When Mr. Lace suggests that Nina should put on her very own art show, Ada becomes incredibly jealous and loses her temper. Suddenly, Ada is not speaking to her father, she is falling even further behind in art class, and she still cannot figure out how to fix her broken robot. As the big competition looms closer and closer, Ada realizes that holding onto her anger is not helping her build a better machine.
