Visiting relatives in another country should be exciting, but for one little girl, it just feels overwhelming. After traveling a long way to finally meet her faraway family, they all seem like complete strangers.
To make a hard day even trickier, the power goes out right at bedtime, leaving her without her trusty night-light in an unfamiliar room. Just when the dark seems too big, a bright flashlight beam appears in the hallway. It is her grandmother, ready to play.
Together, they start an amazing game of shadow puppets, turning a scary power outage into a grand, glowing adventure. Through imagination and play, the little girl quickly discovers that making friends with relatives you have never met does not require words at all. Soon, her faraway family starts to feel exactly like home.
