A snowy family ski trip to the mountains of Vermont turns into a freezing rescue operation. While enjoying her winter vacation, ten-year-old Lizzie Peterson crosses paths with Bear, an incredibly fluffy husky puppy. Bear was abandoned by a tough sled-dog racing team simply because they thought he was too lazy to run. But Lizzie immediately falls in love with his sweet personality. When a massive snowstorm hits the mountain, Bear accidentally gets lost in the blinding whiteout, forcing Lizzie to brave the freezing weather to bring him to safety.
