Lucy Pennykettle absolutely loves the magical clay dragons that her mother brings to life, and she is incredibly attached to one in particular. Glade is a beautiful and sensitive mood dragon, capable of sensing feelings and bringing peace to those around her. So when Lucy's mother announces that she is going to sell Glade to a customer, Lucy is completely heartbroken and horrified. She cannot stand the thought of her favorite little dragon leaving the house and going somewhere completely unknown. Lucy wants to keep Glade safely in her bedroom forever. However, as Lucy tries to figure out a way to stop the sale, she begins to realize that there is a much bigger picture involved. The world outside is full of people dealing with sadness and difficult emotions, and someone else might desperately need Glade's special magical help even more than Lucy does. Lucy must bravely learn a difficult lesson about sharing the things she loves and discovering the true, comforting purpose behind her mother's wonderful magical creations.
